  • What steps do I need to take to get a quote?

    1.  Pickup and delivery details address, with a date and time of when Freight is ready for transport.

    2.  Dimensions and weight, plus a brief description of goods to be transported.

    3.  Will freight transported need to forklift on or off.  All tailgate services require a concrete surface to load and unload.

    4.  Put the above details into an email to:  transport@coastlinehaulage.com.au

    5.  Once we have all the details a quote is then returned via email for your approval.

  • How secure is my freight?

We ensure your freight is totally secure whenever it's in our care. We're able to store large amounts of our freight in our Coffs Harbour warehouse.

Due to the volume of goods passing through, we make sure to conduct regular stock counts to ensure everything in our warehouse or depot is accounted for at all times.

Our attention to detail when implementing these measures provides peace of mind that your goods and freight will be secure until collected or moved on.

  • Do I need a consignment note?

Yes, as part of your packaging label you will need a consignment note to accompany the freight while it's being shipped. This note should include:

    • Senders name & address
    • Receivers name & address
    • Description of items (cartons, pallets, etc)
    • Number of items
    • Weight of each item
    • Cubic dimensions of each item
    • Account number to be charged

If you have any issues with filling out your consignment note, simply give us a call and our friendly staff can help you out.

  • How should I package my goods?

Packing your freight properly is important for minimising damage to your goods. Your items should be packed into cartons, crates, or palleted. If using pallets, your goods should be encased in banding, shrink-wrap or breakaway adhesive.

Additionally, multiple packaging labels should be placed all over each piece of freight, so that they can be seen even if there are other items stacked on the truck.

  • Can you pick up my goods or freight?

    We certainly can!

Our staff and trusted sub-contractors are able to pick up goods from your home, business or another location. They will then bring them to the warehouse or depot where your shipment will be sorted and sent on, or you will be notified for collection. If you're unable to come collect your freight, we're able to deliver it to your home, worksite, or business premises.

  • I only have a small amount of goods to transport. Do I have to fill an entire freight truck?

Not at all! We have an extensive fleet of trucks and team of sub-contractors that can transport any amount of goods—even for one-off deliveries of an item purchased on eBay or Gray's Online.
